Curt Walters – Recipient of the Desert Caballeros Western Museum’s 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award

Mark your calendars now for January 18th, 2014 from 6-9 p.m. when the Desert Caballeros Western Museum in Wickenburg, AZ will celebrate the achievements Curt Walters has made during his lifelong journey through the Western art world. Curt has been chosen as the 2014 recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award presented by the Museum. The event will be hosted in the Museum’s Cultural Crossroads Learning Center where events of the night will include a live art auction.

Curt’s work Sun Shadow Wind, a massive 36” x 48”, is in the permanent collection at DCWM and will be a featured exhibit of the night. This painting won the Best of Show and First Place Oil Painting Awards at the 2011 West Select Show and Sale at the Phoenix Art Museum.

…And That’s a Wrap on the 19th Annual Sedona International Film Festival

WOW! What an exciting time! The 9 days of films, workshops, parties, networking and film fun was had by many! Film makers from all over the world gathered in Sedona, Arizona for the 19th Annual Sedona International Film Festival. This yearly event has grown in name and recognition and from the mouths of the film makers themselves, this is one of the highest end and nicest festivals they’ve been to.

We would like to congratulate the winners of this year’s accolades which include  Chittagong, based upon actual events of India’s Chittagong Uprising, and Least Among Saints, the story of a solider back from war and a young man who has never known peace in his life who become unlikely friends, tied for the Audience Award for Best Drama at the 19th annual Sedona International Film Festival.

Working at home, and for myself has been quite the adventure. As any business woman – or man – and I will tell you, it takes dedication to pull it off and get the attention you need and want. If you’re a creative, Barbara Streisand and I will both tell you, making Art is an Art and it’s hard to put it all together.
